1. The dealer has a good card faced up (a Royal Card or an Ace) and you have a weak hand

   In this case, the best method is not to bet. However, the best players are taking those chances, as the game is more thrilling and exciting. Bet the minimum stake. You would also have the possibility of insurance, and it is strongly recommended to take it. This way, your potential earnings would be limited, but also the possibilities to loose.

   For the second hand, if you are still at the table, you will already have a complete view over the potential of the game. If your total is 10 or 11, it is better to stay in the game and to call. You will have a chance to get a blackjack. Moreover, the dealer is almost surely close to 21, therefore he will fold or boost. If you have a smaller total, and the dealer is already close to 21, it is better for you to call it a lost game and to stop betting.

2. The dealer has a weak hand and you also

   As the game is tight, and you won't have the possibility to take insurance, the decision is up to you. Usually, the most established blackjack players would rather stay in the game and place a medium bet. Pay the entrance fee; see the other card of the dealer. If you have better chances, it is recommended to rise. If the dealer has a better card, it is better to stay in the game, but you should only call. If the game gets to the third round, you will see all the opportunities and you should be able to make a safe bet.

3. You have a good card and the dealer has a weak one

   In this case, it is not recommended to place the maximum bet. The online casinos would try to get that money; therefore, he might give you weak cards in order to get them. If you are placing a medium bet, the online casino won't be so tempted to take it. However, you should also consider the bets placed by the other players. If the casino can take its profits from those bets, you might have a chance even if you are placing a higher bet.
